How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in applying for the MESA/STEM Program. Below is a link to the MESA application. Students are asked to complete the application and return it to us by email (email@example.com), US mail, or dropping it off at the MESA/STEM Academic Success Center in M500. Several other items will need to be attached to the application for admissions consideration.
Please use the check list below to gather all documents needed. We will review your entire application packet and determine your eligibility for either MESA or ASEM (STEM students not meeting the statewide MESA elegiblity criteria). Our annual application processing timeline is also outlined below. We encourage you to submit your application and other required items early in the annual timeline. Applications are considered per the annual timeline on a first come/first serve basis to fill available spaces.
The documents to be submitted as one packet for MESA/STEM Program consideration are:
- The completed MESA Student Application
- Your current Student Education Plan (SEP) - you may schedule an appointment with Christine Reed or Angelica Eulloqui in the MESASTEM Academic Success Center to complete an SEP if needed
- A copy of your current registration confirmation listing fees for the semester ("schedule and fees" available on your Hancock portal)
- A copy of your most recent unofficial transcripts from Allan Hancock College and any other colleges or universities you have attended
Application Annual Timeline
April 1 - July 31: Applications accepted for fall term program admissions
June 15 - August 15: Complete applications are reviewed for admission and students are notified via email
August 7 - Sept. 30: Accepted applicants are required to attend a mandatory program orientation to complete the admissions process
Any application received after the deadline will be placed on a waitlist and reviewed if space is available for fall or spring term.
We look forward to assisting you further. Please feel free to contact us if you should have any questions about the application process.
