How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in applying for the MESA Program. Below is a link to the application you will need to print off, complete, and return to us. You will also need to attach several other items to the application upon submission for consideration.
Please use the check off list below to gather all documents needed, and bring them all to the MESA Center together with your completed application. We will review your entire application packet, and determine whether or not you meet the MESA eligibility requirements. Please also note below our annual application processing timeline. We encourage you to submit your application and other required items early in the annual timeline. Applications are considered per the annual timeline on a first come/first serve basis to fill available spaces.
The documents to be submitted as one packet for MESA Program consideration are:
- The completed MESA Student Application
- Your current Student Education Plan (SEP) - you may schedule an appointment with Christine Reed in the MESA Center to complete an SEP if needed
- A copy of your current registration confirmation listing fees for the semester*
- A copy of your most recent unofficial transcripts from Allan Hancock College and any other colleges or universities you have attended
*If we are unable to determine your financial aid status from your student profile, we may also ask you to obtain a copy of your financial aid award letter or approval of BOG waiver.
