The University Transfer Center has scheduled various workshops to assist students in the transfer process.  Registration to workshops not required.

TRANSFER 101

Are you interested in attending a four-year university? Would you like to know more about your transfer options? Attend this workshop to learn about admissions requirements, programs and majors, different university systems, and financial aid opportunities.

ASSOCIATE DEGREES FOR TRANSFER- Guarentee Your Admission to a CSU! 

Get all the details about "The Degree with a Guarantee" with the California State University system.  See if your major is offered as part of this guarantee and what it could mean to you.

CSU/UC COURSE AGREEMENTS- Using Assist.org 

Assist is a great tool for counselors and students to determine an appropriate path towards transferring from a community college to a CSU/UC.  The workshop will teach students the importance of ASSIST and knowing how to navigate the website.

UC for YOU!

Learn about the UC system, how to meet transfer admission requirements, and about the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan that qualifies eligible families with an annual income of less that $80,000 to have their tuition paid by gift aid.  Yes, free tuition at the UC may be possible for you!  You will also learn about the many opportunities that are available for transfer students at each of the nine undergraduate campuses.

FINANCIAL AID & UNIVERSITY COSTS

Learn more about the cost of attendance and how financial aid is distributed at the university level.  This workshop will also assist you in understanding your financial aid award and answer questions on scholarships, loans, and much more.

NEXT STEPS, PART 1

You applied to a university - Now what? Attend this workshop to ensure you are properly completing your application updates and supplemental applications.  We will also help you better understand university portals, critical to-do-tasks, transcript deadlines and the process for receiving AHC degree or certificates.

It is recommended you have your personal laptop available to work on the application(s) during this workshop.

NEXT STEPS, PART 2

In this workshop we will explore your financial aid award, deadlines, scholarships and how to create a student budget; housing options and costs; in-progress and final transcripts submittal and deadlines; university orientations, academic advising sessions for your first term at the university and admissions appeals. Join us and be at ease about your final transfer steps!

TRANSFER STUDENT PANEL: The Important Illuminating Student Voice!

Are you considering or determined to transfer to a university? You are in luck! The UTC has lined up some awesome former AHC students who have successfully transferred to a university.  These "Transfer Stars" are ready to share valuable lessons learned along their transfer journey.

Registration to workshop is not required.
