In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, the Counseling Office has transitioned to serving students in a virtual environment.
General, Transfer, Athletic, Non-Credit, and Career Counselors have combined efforts to serve students. They are currently available to serve you through various remote methods. We are able to assist you via telephone, email, online chat, and/or video-conferencing. Students wishing to "see" their Counselor through video-conferencing are able to do so via Zoom. We encourage you to choose a method that fits your needs.
We know this is a time of uncertainty and concern for many of you, and we want to reassure you that although we may not be able to offer in-person services at this time, we will continue to be available to assist you.
As Counselors, we are committed to continue offering excellent services while also protecting the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and community. We thank you and appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate through these challenging times. Please stay healthy!
Call 805-922-6966 ext.3293 to schedule your preferred method of appointment. Please have your H# ready.
Counselors are available via telephone and/or Zoom, a video-conferencing tool.
Planning to use a smartphone for your zoom appointment? Be sure to download the Zoom App prior to your scheduled appointment. For students using other devices (desktop/iPad/lap top), we encourage you to use Chrome or Firefox.
After you scheduled your zoom, an email with the zoom link will be sent to your Hancock email the day before your scheduled appointment.
Prefer to schedule your own appointment? Selected counselors have made their schedule available to you. You may also book an appointment using Cranium Cafe.
Call 805-922-6966 ext.3293 to speak to a counselor. Please have your H# ready.
Your questions will be answered in the order received.
NEED TO KNOW: Counselors will be returning your phone call from an off campus phone number. A counselor
may call you from an unknown number.
Prefer to participate in online chat? Counselors are available through Online Chat. Select a counselor who's light is green and says "Online Now" and a counselor will assist you.
Email your question to a counselor. We encourage you to use your Hancock email account. The email must include your H#. The response time will depend on the volume of emails. Most questions will be responded to within three business days. Please email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
